Details:
Join us for Norman Rockwell's Stockbridge Walking Tour, featuring a special guest appearance by Ed Locke, who modeled for Rockwell as a young boy. The tour is offered at two times: a special morning session at 10 am for $50, which includes a print of Rockwell's painting "The Runaway," and a general afternoon session at 3 pm for $20.
Explore the historic downtown Stockbridge, home to numerous sites that inspired Rockwell's artwork, including his former home and studio. Key stops on the tour include the Old Corner House (the original site of the Norman Rockwell Museum), Chief John Konkapot’s property, the Red Lion Inn, and the former site of Alice’s Restaurant, amongst others.
Please note that tour fees are separate from museum admission, and transportation from the museum to the meeting point on Main Street is not provided. The event will take place rain or shine, with limited capacity and advance reservations required. Participants are to meet in front of The Old Corner House at 48 Main Street, where public parking is available. The walking route is mostly flat and on sidewalks, with a maximum group size of 24.
