Details:
Join us at the NRH Library for an engaging discussion with Texas author Lisa Wingate. She is the author of the #1 New York Times bestseller BEFORE WE WERE YOURS, which has sold more than three million copies and been translated into over forty languages worldwide. Wingate will be discussing her most recent book, SHELTERWOOD, and sharing about her writing process. SHELTERWOOD is a sweeping novel inspired by the untold history of women pioneers who fought to protect children caught in the storm of land barons hungry for power and oil wealth.
This free event will include a discussion and Q&A with the author, followed by a book signing. Books will be available for purchase at the event through Half Price Books.
Lunch Reception (Hosted by the Friends of the NRH Library) - $40
An optional add-on to the free Behind the Book event sponsored by the Friends of the NRH Library will take place at noon. Tickets can be purchased online through the Friends of the NRH Library website or by cash/check at the front desk of the Library.
