Details:
Join us for a celebration of Texas pride and cultural contributions as we commemorate the nation’s 250th anniversary with the Texas America250 exhibit, presented by the Texas State Library and Archives Commission (TSLAC). This exhibit highlights iconic Texan contributions that have shaped America, featuring stories from cowboys to astronauts and showcasing the state's rich history through landmark anniversaries such as the Texas Centennial and Sesquicentennial. In tandem with this, Houston will host the Art of Soccer initiative in anticipation of the FIFA World Cup 2026™, featuring local businesses and artists decorating soccer balls to raise funds for community programs that support youth soccer access and sustainability. This initiative is spearheaded by the Harris County–Houston Sports Authority and its foundation. Both events invite Texans of all ages to engage, celebrate, and learn more about Texas's legacy and the upcoming World Cup festivities.
