We've got our 4rd Annual Trail Work & Training Weekend coming up on August 15/16 (Sat/Sun). It's a quick end-of-summer hurrah with free camping just an hour from Fort Collins. Start/finish your run from your campsite.
The course preview run will be on Sunday the 16th, with a general start at 8:00a. Parking for those joining morning-of will be at the Elkhorn Creek Trailhead.

Preview the main loop of the 50K & Half Marathon courses.
16mi w/ 1800' gain: www.strava.com/routes/3254855126814300082
Preview the main body of the 50k course, including the flat & fast section north of CR74E.
35mi w/ 5500' gain: www.strava.com/routes/3254855869206552498
See most of the 50mi route, including the gorgeous Killpecker/Lone Pine loop and some eye-opening after-effects of the Cameron Peak fire. (If you're thinking of this route, give us a shout in advance - we'll stage a water drop at the 19mi mark)
Trail work will be on Saturday the 15th in partnership with Wildlands Restoration Volunteers(!). Exact details still being firmed up, but expect a 8a start and wrap-up by mid-afternoon.
Would love to see you out there! No need to RSVP for either, but especially if you're thinking about joining for the trail work, a quick reply would be nice so we can plan tools.
For camping, we'll be enjoying some free dispersed camping in the national forest. There's a great series of spaces right along CR69C (Boy Scout Rd). Look for a Gnar feather flag by the road between the main Boy Scout Camp entrance and the Elkhorn Trailhead.
