The Ringgold Band & Children's Lantern Parade

Join us for the final concert of the Wyomissing Summer Concert Series featuring the historic Ringgold Band and the Annual Children’s Lantern Parade on Wednesday, August 5th, at 7:00 PM on the Stone House Lawn. This cherished event marks the closing of the Summer Playground Program, blending concert, community gathering, and childhood memories into a magical evening as summer transitions to the school season.

The Ringgold Band, one of America’s oldest community bands established in 1852, provides a rich musical experience rooted in history and tradition. Their repertoire, filled with classics, spirited marches, and concert favorites, fills the park with a warm and inviting atmosphere.

As dusk settles, children from the Summer Playground Program will gather with their glowing lanterns, symbolizing the joy of summer adventures and friendships. Led by the Ringgold Band, they will parade around the pond, celebrating this beloved local tradition.

Pack a picnic and bring your lawn chairs and blankets as we bid farewell to summer and embrace one last evening together before the school year begins. Enjoy the enchanting combination of music, lanterns, and a beautiful summer night in Wyomissing. In case of rain, the event will be held on Thursday, August 6th.
