The Poverty 101 Session explores the dynamics and myths of poverty for attendees from all sectors and fosters a shared understanding of poverty. The Foundation is addressing the broader spectrum of poverty – think about your child care provider, the friendly face at your local coffee shop, or that hardworking colleague: employed but still not able to make ends meet. Life as a low-income family is an abstract concept for some and a harsh reality for others. Through our outreach activities, we invite people from all sectors to better understand view our community through a different lens, one that considers the barriers our low-income families face and how we can all collaborate on solutions. This session is hosted by the John T. Vucurevich Foundation in collaboration with Palecek Therapy and Consulting.
