Westcoast Wind Quintet

The Friends of the Carmel Valley Library proudly present the Left Coast Woodwind Quintet in a free, one-hour concert at the Carmel Valley Library.
Founded by bassoonist Dan Weiss, this dynamic ensemble brings energy, artistry, and irresistible personality to every performance, blending world-class musicianship with a warm and engaging concert experience.
The program spans centuries and styles — from the beloved Flower Duet from Delibes' Lakmé and the dramatic sweep of Saint-Saëns' Danse Bacchanale to the Viennese charm of Strauss's Tales from the Vienna Woods and the cinematic magic of John Williams' Rey's Theme — closing on a high note with the irrepressible Gee, Officer Krupke from Leonard Bernstein's West Side Story.
Throughout the program, the ensemble shares entertaining stories and musical insights, creating an atmosphere that is at once intimate, exciting, and thoroughly welcoming for listeners of all ages.
