Details:
Brown Bag Book Club is a traditional, casual-atmosphere discussion group that takes place during a late-lunch hour. Books are recently published adult fiction and nonfiction titles, as well as the occasional classic or backlist novel. It meets on the 4th Wednesday of the month at 1:00 pm at the Eastern Branch. Books can be signed out from the Eastern Branch on a first-come, first-serve basis.
In July we will read: Late Bloomer by Mazey Eddings (2024) — Lottery winner Opal Devlin buys a failing flower farm for isolation but finds the rightful owner, Pepper Smith, still living there, leading to a cohabitation agreement and a clash of personalities that turns into romance.
August 26 – The Quiet Librarian by Allen Eskens
September 23 – Black Cake by Charmaine Wilkerson
October 28 – A Witch’s Guide to Magical Innkeeping by Sangu Mandamma
November 25 – The Overnight Guest by Heather Gudenkauf
December 23 – Before Dorothy by Hazel Gaynor
We strive to make our programs inclusive to all. For accommodation requests, please reach out to reference@davenportlibrary.com.
