A rich history informs the ambiance of The Point Bar & Lounge, a prohibition-era style speakeasy located at 114 N. Montezuma St in downtown Prescott. Originally part of the old Brinkmeyer Hotel, which was rebuilt in 1901 after a fire destroyed most of the area, the space served as the boiler room, and later a retail bakery for 50 years before opening it's doors as a drinking establishment for the first time in 1974. Since then, townspeople and tourists alike have been drawn to The Point's cozy atmosphere with dark stained wood and comfortable lounge furniture, but its expertise in classic and craft cocktails, and extensive selection of spirits and craft beers that keep its customers around right up until last call. The Point hand crafts many of its ingredients, including organic bitters and fresh-squeezed citrus, and boasts a list of over 100 whiskey's, 16 beers on draft, hard-to-find bottles, and an ever-growing wine list.
