The Carnegie Library, located at 537 East Henry Street in Savannah, Georgia, is a branch of the Live Oak Public Libraries system. Historically, it was established as the Savannah Carnegie Library for African Americans during the segregation era and is one of only two Carnegie library projects for African Americans in Georgia. The library has been preserved and renovated, now serving as a branch that offers a meeting room, computers, internet access, WiFi, print/copy/scan/fax services, and hosts events like storytime and crafts. It also functions as a Heritage Center, dedicated to protecting and preserving Savannah's Black history through museum-quality exhibits, oral history recordings, and interactive displays, aiming to elevate the voices and lived experiences of Black Savannahians.
