Farmers Alley Theatre is wrapping up its 18th season with the exhilarating contemporary musical "Dear Evan Hansen," which opens on July 9th. This Tony Award-winning show features an insightful script by Steven Levenson and a vibrant pop-rock score by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. In addition to "Dear Evan Hansen," CST presents the beloved "Shrek The Musical," based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film. This Tony Award-winning production features new songs by Jeanine Tesori and a witty book by David Lindsay-Abaire. It follows the unlikely hero Shrek, an ogre on a transformative journey with a charismatic Donkey and a determined princess, highlighting that true beauty lies beyond the surface. "Shrek" offers family-friendly entertainment filled with humor, creative opportunities, and beloved fairy tale characters. Together, these performances showcase the range of storytelling in contemporary musical theatre.
