Hart County Dems Monthly Meeting

The main topic of discussion will be Data Centers. Ashley Wilmes, Executive Director of the Kentucky Resources Council (KRC) will be our guest presenter via Zoom. Ms. Wilmes graduated from Centre College and University of Oregon School of Law, earning a specialty certificate in Environment and Natural Resources Law. She is a former Chair of the Environmental Law Section of the Kentucky Bar Association. KRC is a nonprofit and nonpartisan group of lawyers, policy experts, and advocates fighting for environmental protection, health, and justice across the state. KRC has a Community Toolkit available to download free of charge, and has developed a Model Ordinance for counties like Hart County that do not have comprehensive land use planning and zoning. There will be a peaceful protest along Main Street in front of the courthouse after the meeting.
