Details:
On July 18th, the Hessel Museum of Art will hold its first Family Day event, organized in conjunction with our summer exhibitions and in collaboration with local vendors and community organizations. Family Day will welcome visitors of all ages to learn, create, and play, through guided tours of the exhibitions, drop-in art activities inspired by the works on view, and outdoor games staged across our grounds. For our drop-in art activities, we are proud to partner with The DRAW, a Kingston-based organization providing arts education programs for people of all ages. These activities will find their inspiration in the works on view made by Uman, Marilou Schultz, and Betty Parsons, giving participants an opportunity to create their own expressions through color and form, and leave the museum with a work of their own. Support for 2026 public programs at the Hessel Museum of Art is provided by the Thompson Family Foundation and the Bank of Greene County Charitable Foundation. This project is made possible, in part, through funding from the County of Dutchess and Destination Dutchess (formerly Dutchess Tourism) and administered by Arts Mid-Hudson.
