Heathcote Botanical Gardens, a five-acre subtropical haven in Fort Pierce, Florida, operates as a non-profit educational foundation dubbed the "Green Heart of the Treasure Coast." Focused on community education and environmental conservation, the gardens boast beautifully curated areas like the Japanese Garden, Reflection Garden, and the James J. Smith Bonsai Gallery, home to the nation's largest public bonsai collection. Established in 1986, the gardens offer classes, tours, and events to inspire a lifelong affinity for nature, complemented by the historic Heathcote House built in 1922.
