The Blake Library serves as the central hub and administrative center for the Martin County Library System, housing the offices for the Director and Division Managers. It is responsible for coordinating collections, electronic resources, facility planning, literacy education, and public services across the system's six branches. The library boasts extensive collections of books, periodicals, microfilms, and genealogy research materials, alongside public access computers and specialized databases. It also features a dedicated Special Collections Room for local history and genealogy, and an auditorium for community events. The Martin County Library System's mission is to connect people through learning experiences that improve individuals and communities, with a vision to inform and inspire everyone. They value people, quality, flexibility, continuous improvement, innovation, and creativity. The Library Foundation of Martin County, Inc. also operates from the Blake Library, focusing on acquiring and administering funds to enrich library services and facilities beyond public funding.
