Enjoy a weekly reading of children's books that highlight New England history and culture, and participate in a related activity afterwards. Join us on July 15 for the Maine classic, Miss Rumphius, by author/illustrator Barbara Cooney. Miss Alice Rumphius made a promise to make the world a more beautiful place. She began by sowing lupine seeds along the coast of Maine, and soon became known as the Lupine Lady. After the story, paint a watercolor painting with Miss Rumphius!
Stories at the Old Schoolhouse is recommended for children ages 4 to 10. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
