Household Hazardous Waste & Mattress Recycling Event

The City of Porterville encourages you to dispose of household hazardous waste responsibly. Open the 3rd Saturday of every month at at the City of Porterville Corporation Yard (555 N. Prospect Street) collections of the following items will occur from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm: Used motor oil & oil filters Anti-freeze Automotive Batteries E-waste Latex paints Household batteries Fluorescent lamps The City has teamed up with the Mattress Recycling Council to open a permanent collection site at the City's Corporation Yard. The site is open to all Porterville and Tulare County residents and will be open on the third Saturday of each month in conjunction with the household hazardous waste event from 8:00 am until 12:00 pm.
