Fairplex is a 487-acre fairgrounds and exposition complex in Pomona, California, operated by the nonprofit Los Angeles County Fair Association (LACFA), a 501(c)(5) organization founded in 1922. Its mission is to serve as a place, a convener, and a creator of memories that strengthen the community and regional economy through arts and entertainment, agriculture, education, and commerce. Fairplex has been the home of the annual Los Angeles County Fair since its inception and hosts approximately 300 events annually, including trade shows, conventions, and sporting events. The organization is committed to being a model community partner and economic engine, guided by principles of public benefit, guest experience, partnership, sustainability, and celebrating Southern California. Fairplex also oversees two 501(c)(3) organizations, The Learning Centers at Fairplex and the Fairplex Child Development Center, and reinvests surplus revenues into facility maintenance and development.
