Noise Permit is a workshop series aimed at ages 10-24 where artist mentors teach videography, music creation, audio recording, and live performance techniques. Teens will learn to write lyrics, create beats, and produce a finished song, poem, or creative video piece to perform or show on stage at our Noise Permit Concert.
Led by Dante Dorsey, founder of Music Means More, Inc and Joel Stralnic, founder of SkyRat Productions Studio, participants will explore, learn, and grow as artists and creatives during this free summer-long workshop series. Questions? Email Stephanie at smorrison@ypsilibrary.org.
Videography, Storytelling, and Lyrics - Mondays 4-6pm
Beat Creation, Recording, and Editing - Wednesdays 4-6pm
This program is supported in part by the Michigan Arts and Culture Council, the Ypsilanti Downtown Development Authority, TRUE Community Credit Union, and Brian Steimel.
