The Kingston Public Library is a community-driven organization that serves as a center for learning, collaboration, creativity, and lifelong learning. Its mission is to enrich lives by fostering a sense of place, community, and collaboration, while nurturing curiosity and creativity. The library offers lifelong learning, reading, and recreational opportunities through diverse collections and programs. It provides free computer services, assists residents in finding resources, and connects them with the wider world. The library also hosts various programs for children, such as storytelling, and for adults, including author talks and creative workshops. It is a member of the Old Colony Library Network, allowing residents with an OCLN card to borrow materials. The library also maintains a Local History Room, preserving and offering access to historical documents, photographs, and artifacts of Kingston. The Kingston Public Library Foundation and the Friends of the Kingston Public Library support the library through fundraising efforts, providing supplemental funding for services, programs, and technology.
