Details:
Learn how to view and creatively draw common objects using artistic observation and imagination. Students will focus on an object, pay attention to shape and form, and imagine anything else that the shape and form might be. A cup of pencils may evolve into a vase filled with flowers, or a teapot might become an animated figure. Inspiration is as endless as the imagination itself. Let your imagination flow in this fun class! For over forty years, Karen Haughey has been an intuitive artist, illustrator, and author. In her art, Karen has been influenced by the poignant words of Kahlil Gibran: "Art is one step from the visibly known toward the unknown." Library staff may take photos, videos, or audio recordings at our events. Please tell us if you do not wish to be photographed, video-recorded, or audio-recorded. We will always respect your requests. An ASL (American Sign Language) interpreter or closed captioning can be provided for this program if requested at least seven (7) business days in advance. For assistance, please contact your library or accessibility@aclibrary.org
