Details:
While television has often been accused of being less artistic and more frivolous than other forms of popular culture and left out of cultural analysis as a result, what happens when we take TV's political ideas seriously? This talk explores how political
science helps us analyze shows such as Severance, The Americans, Andor, and Loki … and what these shows might teach us about our own political world.
Our series aims to bring local topic experts to the library to share their knowledge with the general community--everyone is welcome! A Q&A/discussion will follow each presentation.
Dr. John McMahon is an Associate Professor at SUNY Plattsburgh Political Science Department.
Lifelong Learning for All will be held the first Wednesday of each month (except holidays) at 5:30 PM in the library auditorium.
