Join us for "Guided Relaxation & Rest: Yoga Nidra," a transformative practice designed to promote deep rest and relaxation for physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Led by trained facilitator April McGinnis, this guided meditation lasts about 30-40 minutes and includes breath awareness, body scanning, intention setting, and visualization. No prior experience or poses are required, as Yoga Nidra can be practiced lying down, sitting in a chair, or on the ground supported by a wall. Attendees are encouraged to dress comfortably and bring props such as a mat, cushions, a light blanket, and an eye pillow to create a cozy resting environment. Please arrive on time, as latecomers will not be admitted after 10 minutes. A liability waiver must be signed before participation, and registration is required either in person at the library or online.
