Water & Wildlife: Stream Explorers

Join us for an engaging family adventure with our "Water & Wildlife Explorers" program, where you can discover the vibrant ecosystems of local waterways and ponds. Together, you'll explore streams and wetlands using nets and observation tools to uncover aquatic insects, small fish, salamanders, and other fascinating stream-dwelling creatures. Guided by a knowledgeable naturalist, you'll learn how these environments contribute to the larger ecosystem and the importance of clean water for both wildlife and humans.

This program is designed for all families, taking place on Pleasant Valley's accessible All Persons Trail, a wide, flat, gravel-paved path that ensures comfort for everyone, including those using strollers or mobility aids. Participants will enjoy a curious, kid-friendly pace with ample opportunity for exploration and questions. We encourage you to dress for the weather and wear appropriate footwear as you engage with nature.
