Join us for a special evening with the extraordinary singer/songwriter Nellie McKay as part of our Sound Series. This retrospective set will showcase a selection of songs from her diverse catalogue, which spans nine eclectic albums since her debut, "Get Away from Me" (2004). Known for her genre-blurring style that encompasses pop, jazz, rock, and folk, McKay's music has been featured in various media and she has made numerous television appearances, including notable shows like The Late Show with David Letterman and A Prairie Home Companion. In addition to her musical talents, McKay is an ardent advocate for animal rights, feminism, civil rights, and environmental protection.
