Henna Art for Teens

Details:

Learn about the cultural tradition of henna body art and how it played a role for women in ancient ceremonies. Participants will be able to create artwork of their hands with henna designs on paper, or on muslin fabric with henna paste. Registration is required. This is a program for teens ages 12 to 18. Generously funded by Contra Costa County Library Teen Services. Important: By participating in this program you are stating that you understand that henna is a natural plant/vegetable dye and can last anywhere from one (1) to three (3) weeks; and that you have discussed with your child appropriate symbols and placement on the body for the temporary design.
