Details:
Join us for "Fierce Vulnerability: Healing, Spirit & Action in Times of Collapse," an in-person workshop taking place on June 27th and 28th, 2026, from 10 AM to 5 PM PT. Led by Kazu Haga and Guangping Chu, this event is open to all and aims to explore themes from Haga’s book, "Fierce Vulnerability: Healing from Trauma, Emerging through Collapse." Participants will engage in discussions, dharma talks, meditations, role-plays, and small group activities, addressing how collective trauma manifests in societal injustices, and cultivating the love and fierceness needed to combat violence. The venue is fragrance-free and wheelchair accessible, with N95/KN95 masks strongly encouraged.
While there is no mandatory fee, attendees are invited to contribute voluntary donations to support the East Bay Meditation Center (EBMC) and the teachers, ensuring inclusivity for everyone, regardless of financial situation. Limited in-person space is available for 60 participants, prioritizing social distancing. Public transportation is encouraged due to limited parking.
Teachers Kazu Haga and Guangping Chu bring rich experience in nonviolence, restorative justice, and radical education, making this workshop a unique opportunity for personal and communal healing during challenging times. For more information, visit the EBMC website.
