Adult Chess Club

Join us at the Downey City Library for two exciting events catering to different age groups!

For adults, the **Adult Chess Club** welcomes chess enthusiasts every other Saturday from 10am to 1pm, led by local chess enthusiast Salman Mogaddedi. This club is perfect for players of all levels to improve their skills, learn new strategies, and engage in friendly competition. Registration is required in-person or by phone at (562) 904-7360, and participants must be 18 years or older.

For our youngest members, **Hora de Cuentos for Library Littles** offers a delightful storytime experience for babies aged 0-18 months. Held once a week, this engaging program features captivating read-alouds, lively themes, and playful activities designed to foster a love of reading and stimulate young minds. Caregiver supervision is required, and no registration is needed to join in the fun in the Cormack room.
