August 8– For the Love of Lichen!
What are Lichens and how are they growing all throughout the world? Bring your tot to explore amazing Lichen and learn about the partnership which created them.
Tots will:
· Begin with Welcoming Song and a Tree Trunk Story
· Participate in shades of green provocation
· Engage in a Lichen Hunt!
· Practice noticing details and making observations and comparisons of lichen in South Texas.
ABOUT Forest Tots:
Children ages 3-5 are invited to explore the season of the Lower Rio Grande Valley through nature inspired and Outdoor Learning Environment (OLE!) driven curriculum, with something new to explore each day!
Through story, sensory play, forest walks, and nature art, we are excited to connect and learn with the ecologies around us!
