Details:
New Class! Discover the rewarding art of needle felting in this beginner-friendly introduction as we work to create an adorable wool "painting" of a black bear in a field. We’ll cover foundational skills and explore which wools, needles, and tools work best for both 2D and 3D projects.
Everyone will also practice the basic skills that serve as building blocks for many future creations and set you up for success in more advanced projects.
Completed projects will be approximately 5" x 7". Everyone will take home their finished project including a frame, felting pad, extra needles, a wooden handle for single needle, a plastic organizer case, project instructions, and a reusable & recyclable carrying tote for taking everything home.
Class Note: Needle Felting for Beginners is a prerequisite for advanced Needle Felting courses at 577.

Community Instructor: Iva Jean Kristek
For ten years, Iva Jean has been making original needle felted creations. Every class project is created solely by Iva Jean. Even when she was working full time in a non related field, she found needle felting to be a very relaxing pastime. Iva Jean has used her experiences living in 3 different states to expand her needle felting knowledge, which led to her being a member of an artisan group where she made and sold her creations. Iva Jean now enjoys sharing with others this fun and relaxing artform.
