Hollow Down at River City Reading Room - Presented by First Fridays Amplified

Harmonize Peoria and Peoria ArtsPartners present First Fridays Ampified; via a grant from Greater Peoria Leadership Council. The project is focused from June through September 2026, supporting live music across multiple venues in the downtown, Warehouse District, Riverfront, and West Main areas. More info can be found at:

About Us:
At turns haunting, uplifting, and energizing, Hollow Down is not afraid to go wherever the wind takes them. Currently the powerhouse duo of Perry Brubaker on upright bass and Jon Howard on guitar, it is surprising to witness the full sound created by these two on acoustic instruments. Each show is an adventure, weaving elements of country, blues, jazz, and punk rock into a heady mix that can only be described as "Hollow Down". In summer of 2026, the band is excited to welcome friends Michael Strike (sax) and Nick Fairley (percussion) along for a run of Colorado shows.
