Details:
Each meeting, food writer Marissa Rothkopf Bates will lead a discussion and tasting of foods from a chosen cookbook. After registering, participants can pick up their copy (included with the ticket) , and pick a recipe to prepare for the evening. During the club, we'll share our concoctions while discussing what worked (and what didn't) and how the book fared overall. We'll leave with full hearts and fuller tummies. This month's cookbook club will feature recipes from The Taste of Country Cooking by Edna Lewis. The most beloved Southern cookbook of all time: a glorious celebration of seasonal eating that has shaped generations of home cooks, from “the first lady of Southern cooking” (NPR) . Beautifully repackaged and redesigned, with a new foreword by Toni Tipton-Martin. “A classic, showing Americans the bounty of Southern cuisine and influencing generations.” —Melissa Clark, The New York TimesTickets are $45 and include a copy of the cookbook.
