Lecture: African Fabrics: History, Culture & Creative Inspiration | July 25 12:00 - 1:30

We're excited to have two great lectures coming soon in July. This is the first lecture is happening on July 25th by Tisha Thorne of Sew Creative Lounge, which happens to be in Lanham, Maryland. We attended Tisha's lecture at QuiltCon on the stories and symbolism in African fabrics, and when we realized how close she was to Cottonwood, we knew we had to try to have her to the shop! Tisha will bring some of the African fabrics from her shop and also have items to show that are made from African fabrics. This is a great lecture for all people interested in learning about other cultures and the importance of fabric in the lives of people in other areas of the world!
