Skokie Heritage Museum

8031 Floral Ave, Skokie, IL 60077, USA

The Skokie Heritage Museum houses locally-significant historical photos, documents, and artifacts. The museum also features the oldest extant structure in Skokie, the Meyer family log cabin, built in 1847. All of these are viewable by appointment outside of our normal open hours. Please note the log cabin is only viewable by appointment at this time due to staffing and weather concerns. The museum offers educational programs and birthday parties for children that examine world history and cultures through crafts, story telling, and other activities, with a particular focus on local Skokie history. See the Park District website for current programs.
