Sci-Friday Book Discussion Group

This session will feature Tom King's graphic novel "Helen of Wyndhorn," a gothic sword and sorcery epic that combines elements of "Conan the Barbarian" with "The Wizard of Oz."

Following the tragic death of her father, C.K. Cole, a renowned pulp writer, Helen Cole returns to Wyndhorn House, her grandfather's grand estate. Grappling with grief, she initially creates chaos but gradually uncovers a treasure trove of family secrets hidden within the manor. The story also delves into the magical adventures that lie beyond its walls, inspired by her father's legendary tales. This collection compiles issues #1-6 of "Helen of Wyndhorn" and includes a sketchbook section and bonus artwork from notable artists such as Walt Simonson and others.
