The Children's Museum at Holyoke is dedicated to enhancing the educational and cultural awareness of all children through the arts, sciences, and the world around them. It features participatory exhibits that encourage interaction and programs that promote learning and self-discovery. Located in Holyoke Heritage State Park, the museum is housed in a renovated former silk mill building and offers a variety of permanent exhibits for toddlers and older children, including an Art Studio, a Curvy Climber, a mock grocery store, a fire truck, and a water table. The museum originated as a pilot project of the Junior League of Holyoke in 1981, modeled after the Boston Children's Museum. It aims to provide a fun, engaging, and safe environment for children and adults to learn and play together, fostering imagination and exploration.
