Early Days of the Game of “Base Ball” with Jeff Lawrence

Join us as we welcome Jeff Lawrence , a resident of West Side and history enthusiast for an exploration of the conflict in the early days of the game of “base ball” during the American Civil War. Discussion will include the 1848 New York "Knickerbocker" rules and the 1858 Massachusetts "Town Ball" style of play. Registration encouraged, but not required.
