Experience the Community Music School of Springfield at the library!
Music Exploration is specially designed for young learners ages 4 to 6 to discover the joy of music through play, movement, and hands-on experience with classroom instruments. In this high-energy, engaging class, students build foundational musical skills that support a lifetime of musical growth.
Through fun and creative activities including solo and group improvisation, ensemble playing, and musical games inspired by a wide variety of cultures, students gain confidence, express themselves, and connect with others in meaningful ways. Whether they're singing, dancing, playing xylophones, drumming, experimenting with stringed instruments and boomwhackers, or moving with scarves, students will explore, create, and grow musically, socially, and emotionally.
Music Exploration isn’t just a class, it’s a joyful journey that builds self-esteem, autonomy, and a deep love of music.
CMSS Faculty: Sarah Soller-Mihlek & Will Losch
This performance is made possible by a grant from the Springfield Library Foundation’s Rose M. Smith Music Fund.
