Bomba Pop Up Class with the Community Music School of Springfield

Experience the Community Music School of Springfield at the library!
Bomba introduces children to the exciting world of Puerto Rican folklore, music, and dance. In this fun and interactive class, children learn the rhythms of traditional Bomba drums, like the barriles, and explore the lively dance movements that go along with them. This class encourages children to express themselves through rhythm and movement, with the drums and dancers communicating in a playful call-and-response style. It's a great way for kids to connect with Puerto Rican culture, develop coordination, and have fun while learning about this vibrant art form.
