River Daze | Curwood Festival 2026
When James Oliver Curwood chose the banks of the Shiawassee River for his now historic castle, he was drawn to its beauty and the importance of protecting it. His passion for conservation continues to inspire us today.
Now in its 49th year, the Curwood Festival celebrates that legacy, honoring a novelist, conservationist, and the river that brings our community together
Grab your raft, kayak, canoe, tube, or paddleboard and help us fill the river!
Featuring:
• Homemade Raft Division
• Canoe, Kayak, and Tube Races
