Writing Workshop with Author Nancy Loewen for Adults

Think of your favorite pieces of writing - those passages that stay with you and “ring true.” Most likely, these works make use of metaphor. Funny or profound, simple or extended, a good metaphor conveys shared experiences and creates a bond between writer and reader. In this workshop, we’ll look at examples of published writing, discuss how metaphor shapes meaning, and try several prompts to spark our own ideas. Everyone is welcome, whether you’re dabbling for fun or looking for ways to deepen current writing projects.
