Details:
Financial stress doesn't just live in your mind. It lives in your body.
The tight chest when an unexpected bill arrives. The breath you didn't realize you were holding. The low hum of dread that doesn't quit, even when your account balance temporarily steadies. Maybe you've been told to think positive, push through, or budget better, and you've ended up carrying shame on top of the fear.
Financial instability triggers real physiological responses in the nervous system — fight, flight, freeze. When money feels uncertain for long enough, those responses become chronic. You start bracing without realizing it. You stay hypervigilant. Or you shut down. Your body isn't broken; it's protecting you the only way it knows how.
This class offers a different starting point. Together, we'll get curious about where financial stress lives in you, with no forcing and no judgment. You'll learn to recognize the patterns, understand why they exist, and practice somatic tools to ground and steady yourself. You'll leave with a practice you can return to on your own, anytime the dread starts to hum.
What you'll take with you
Awareness of where financial stress lives in your body
Understanding of your nervous system's protective patterns
Relief from shame
Somatic tools to ground and steady you
A repeatable practice you can use anytime, anywhere
What to know before you come
Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to sit and move gently. Participants will remain seated or lying down (your preference) for most of the class. No prior experience with somatic practices is required. Bring water and anything that helps you feel physically comfortable: a small blanket, a journal, whatever supports you.
Engage as much as feels safe.
All bodies are welcome. You're encouraged to engage at your own pace and adjust any practice as needed.
You don't need to have your finances figured out to come home to your body. You need to be willing to start.
