Arquebus Demo (Small Firearms)

Join us every Thursday at 2 PM at the Settlement Site for the Arquebus Demo, a unique summer program running from June 9th to August 22nd. This event, held at Roanoke Island Festival Park— the only historic site in North Carolina showcasing matchlock small arms—invites you to learn about the Arquebus, a notable firearm from the era of English settlement in the New World. Experience a live demonstration of the Arquebus being fired as part of this engaging exploration of military history. Please note that all programs are included with park admission and may change due to inclement weather. Tickets are required for participation.
