Details:
Join us for an engaging summer of art in downtown Manteo, featuring three captivating events beginning on Friday, July 3. First, immerse yourself in "Weather The Storm," a mixed media courtyard installation by artist Lara E. Parks, where light, sound, and natural movement create an interactive exploration of emotions reflected in the changing atmosphere. The installation will be on display throughout the fall, inviting viewers to return and observe its evolution.
Simultaneously, art enthusiasts can experience "The Perception Project," a solo exhibit by Emily Holmes at the Vault Gallery, showcasing interactive mixed-media artworks that challenge our perceptions through movement, light, and visual illusions. This exhibit opens with a reception from 6 PM to 8 PM on July 3 and will run until August 1, 2026.
Additionally, the "Southern is Feeling, A Visual Telling of Rural NC" exhibition will highlight the work of North Carolina photographers, exploring themes of community and place through their lens. Visitors can meet the photographers during the opening reception on July 3, also from 6 PM to 8 PM, and view their compelling narratives until August 29, 2026.
Art lovers of all ages can also look forward to a Summer Kids Art Party led by Mari Beth LaRose on July 22, where children can create their own mixed media sea turtles. For more details, visit DareArts.org. Come celebrate the intersection of art and community this summer!
