Beach driving season in a national park at the North Carolina Outer Banks begins mid March and runs through December 31st. Off-road driving is allowed year-round at Cape Hatteras National Seashore but there are limits at Cape Lookout National Seashore. A permit is required and more information can be found at the National Park Service website.
