Details:
German immigrants Jacob and Catherine Dietrich settled near present-day Princeton in Franklin County in 1857 and built this small cabin in 1859 after their first cabin was destroyed by fire. Today, the cabin helps us understand what life was like in Franklin County during the Kansas Territory years and the earliest days of Kansas' statehood as well as the more personal story of the Dietrich and Puderbaugh families.
Note that this cabin will not open during extreme weather events (including high heat and storms).
Admission is free; donations are appreciated. For more information, call (785) 242-1232.
