The Bellamy Brothers: The Love Still Flows
Howard and David Bellamy have spent more than four decades carving out one of the most unique and successful careers in country music history. Known for their smooth harmonies, clever songwriting, and unmistakable blend of country and rock, The Bellamy Brothers have become one of the most beloved duos in the genre.
Their journey began in Florida, where the brothers started performing together in the late 1960s, honing their craft in clubs throughout the South and singing backup for artists including Percy Sledge and Eddie Floyd. Their first major breakthrough came when David Bellamy wrote the hit song “Spiders & Snakes,” recorded by Jim Stafford, which sold more than three million copies worldwide.
In 1976, the brothers launched their own international success with the smash hit “Let Your Love Flow,” which topped charts around the world and built a massive global fan base. Soon after, they transitioned into country music and struck gold again with the #1 hit
“If I Said You Had a Beautiful Body (Would You Hold It Against Me).”
The Bellamy Brothers went on to score fourteen #1 country hits and dozens of chart-topping songs, including fan favorites “Redneck Girl,” “Old Hippie,” “Dancing Cowboys,” “Sugar Daddy,” and
“Do You Love As Good As You Look.”
Today, The Bellamy Brothers continue to tour more than 200 shows a year, performing for generations of fans around the world. Their timeless hits, infectious energy, and legendary harmonies prove that after all these years, the love truly still flows.
