Lanchester PowerGlide Picnic / FunFly

Join us for an exciting day of remote control flying events featuring the Lanchester PowerGlide Picnic/FunFly, Warbird Fly-In, and the 10th Annual R/C Float Fly, along with several additional thrilling activities. Start your day at the Lanchester Scenic Overlook, where you can enjoy a picnic and funfly for electric sailplanes and slope soaring at Chester County's highest elevation with breathtaking 360-degree views.

The Warbird Fly-In and related events will showcase a variety of R/C aircraft including the Big Bird Fun Fly on Rt 82, featuring registration from 8:30 AM and flying at 9:30 AM on a well-maintained grass runway. Among the highlights is the Grassfield RC Jet Fun Fly, where AMA members can fly EDF and turbine jets (valid turbine waiver required). Enjoy a free lunch and participate in the raffle at 1 PM.

Additionally, the Battle for the Mountains will be an open-B combat event, scheduled to start registration at 9 AM and combat at 10 AM, where pilots can engage for a nominal fee. Complimentary lunch will be provided for pilots.

Don’t miss the 10th Annual R/C Float Fly at Brackenridge Recreation Complex in Edna, TX, from 8 AM to 4 PM, which requires a $20 registration for AMA pilots that includes lunch and eligibility for door prizes. Bring your RV for a fantastic community experience filled with fun, flying, food, and camaraderie!
