Crowned “The People’s Champ,” Bay Area soul singer, songwriter, and emcee Erica Reynolds (aka Silk-E) is a force in Bay Area hip-hop, blending raw, honest vocals with a dynamic stage presence. She has shared the stage with artists including Rage Against the Machine, Erykah Badu, The Roots, Common, and Mos Def, and is a core member of the acclaimed Oakland-based hip-hop band The Coup.
