Utica University Theatre is seeking performers for our 2026 summer production of the Tony Award-winning musical Avenue Q! Winner of the Tony “Triple Crown” for Best Musical, Best Score, and Best Book, this hilarious and heartfelt musical combines puppetry, comedy, and heart into one unforgettable production.
Auditions:
June 2 & June 4 at 6:30pm
Utica University Art Gallery
Callbacks:
Callbacks will take place during auditions as needed — there will be no separate callback date.
Video Auditions:
Accepted through June 2.
Those submitting video auditions are strongly encouraged to use a puppet of any kind during their submission — even a sock puppet works! We may request to see additional material following video submissions.

Female-presenting, 20s
Soprano/Mezzo
A warm and optimistic teaching assistant who dreams of opening a school for monsters. Puppetry required.
Rod
Male-presenting, 20s–30s
Baritone
A conservative, uptight investment banker with a secret. Puppetry required.
Nicky
Male-presenting, 20s–30s
Bari-Tenor
Rod’s slacker roommate with a huge heart. Puppetry required.
